Ajisai Japan

Ajisai is Japanese name of a flower in Hydrangeaceae and its scientific name is Hydrangea macrophyila. This flower generally blossoms from late spring to early summer in this country and the color of its flowers beautifully changes several times during the period, which makes this flower popular among Japanese.

Many tend to dislike Tsuyu (rainy season) mainly because of its uncomfortable humidity. However, Japanese love to appreciate ajisai blossoming in quiet, gentle rain. So, ajisai viewing spots gather lots of people in Tsuyu season.
