#407: Yonaguni-jima (category: island)

Yonaguni-jima or Yonaguni Island is the westernmost island in Japan. Also, it is the closest place to Taiwan and, at the same time, the farthest place to Tokyo (refer to #036) within this country.

This island, belonging to Okinawa Prefecture (refer to #065), is famous as a setting of a Japanese popular TV drama series titled "Dr. Koto's Clinic". The setting of the clinic still remains in the island and visitors can see inside.
