Minami-Tori-shima

Minami-Tori-shima is a somewhat equilaterally triangular island, one of the Ogasawara Islands (refer to #408). The island, also known as "Marcus Island", is famous for being the easternmost place in Japan.

The Ogasawara Islands belong to Tokyo Prefecture (refer to #036), but Minami-Tori-Shima is no less than 1,800 kilometers away from the center of Tokyo. There are facilities of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, Japan Meteorological Agency, etc.
