Lake Kasumigaura

Lake Kasumigaura is a lake in between Ibaraki and Chiba Prefectures, both of which belong to the Kanto region (refer to #137). It is the second largest lake in this country after Lake Biwa (refer to #483).

The name "Kasumigaura" literally means "hazy inlet" in English. As its name indicates, it is a lagoon and originally was a brackish water lake. But currently, it is almost the same as a fresh-water lake thanks to its water gate.
