Nagasaki Prefecture consists of the northwestern part of Kyushu Island (refer to #063) and its surrounding islands. There are 971 islands belonging to this prefecture, the largest number in Japan for a prefecture.
Nagasaki Prefecture has long been a hub of overseas trade. Popular tourist destinations such as Ohura Tenshudo (refer to #551) and Glover Garden (refer to #511) are also widely known.
