#200: Maiko (category: entertainer)
A maiko is a young girl as an apprentice of geisha (also called geiko or geigi). Maikos usually adorn their hair with decorative kanzashi (refer to #199) and are always wearing furi-sodes, which are kimonos (refer to #007) for young girls.
The Japanese word "mai" is "dance" in English and "ko" is "skilled woman", respectively. After the training period, they will come to demonstrate Japanese traditional dances as geishas.
