The Hoshino Tomihiro Museum of Art (Ashikita) is located in Ashikita District, Kumamoto Prefecture. It mainly features the works of Mr. Tomihiro Hoshino, a Japanese poet and painter.
Mr. Hoshino was born in 1946. He has suffered from total paralysis since the cervical spinal cord injury in 1970. After the accident, he has produced poems and paintings by holding a painting brush in his mouth.
