The Kobe City Koiso Memorial Museum of Art is located on a reclamation land called Rokko Island, in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. It opened in November 1992.
The museum was founded based on more than 2,000 works donated to Kobe City by the family of the late Ryohei Koiso, an accomplished oil painter.
