#187: Jyoshi-kai (category: social trend)
Jyoshi-kai, a Japanese social trend in recent years, usually indicates a drinking party consisting of only girls. The Japanese word "jyoshi" is "girl(s)" in English and "kai" is "gathering", respectively.
It was once rare for girl-only group to gather at a drinking place like Izakaya (refer to #182). But since more and more restaurants started offering exclusive discounts to jyoshi-kai, the trend has gained popularity and become very common in Japan.
