#256: Miso Soup (category: soup)
Miso soup is one of the most traditional and the most popular Japanese cuisines. It is a soup made from miso paste (refer to #255) and usually contains several ingredients such as vegetables, fish, and tofu (bean curd).
Some Japanese love miso soup so much that they even bring instant miso soup while traveling abroad. In Japanese, miso soup is called "miso-shiru". The word "shiru" in "miso-shiru" is "soup" in English.
