#260: Chara-ben (category: lunch box)
A chara-ben (or kyara-ben) is a style of bento (refer to #257) which features characters with the arrangements of various ingredients. The word "chara" is the abbreviation of "character" and "ben" is "bento", respectively.
It has not been rare for a bento like this to be prepared since decades ago. But in recent years, they are more deliberately and more elaborately prepared than before as some kind of artworks to entertain people who see them.
