White Day

The custom that only women give chocolates to males (occasionally to females) on February 14th, St. Valentine's Day has become so common in Japan that it is mistaken as the only legitimate style. Males are expected to return favor, by giving gifts to women on March 14th.

This event was originally set up by Japanese confectionery companies decades ago, and is called "White Day". This trend has spread to overseas, and is currently found in some of Asian countries as well as in Japan.
