#312: Megane Danshi (category: social tendency)
The Japanese word "megane" is a pair of glasses in English. Also, "danshi" indicates boys and adult males, especially the ones with the boyish quality (refer to #310). "Megane Danshi" means "males wearing a pair of glasses".
In the past, males with glasses were not considered to look cooler than males without glasses, generally speaking. However, in recent years, the number of males who are perceived to look good with glasses has been increasing. They are called "Megane Danshi".
