Cape Nosappu is the easternmost place in the Hokkaido island (refer to #061). Also, in many cases, it is regarded as the easternmost place where general public can visit in Japan.

There are some places such as a lighthouse, an observation tower, etc., to visit at this cape. It takes more than 40 minutes to get there by bus from Nemuro Station (refer to #414), the nearest railway station.
