Matsuyama Castle, located in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, is one of 12 Existing Tenshu in Japan. (The word "Tenshu" means the highest tower in a Japanese castle.)

There are many castles that are known as Matsuyama Castle. Generally, the one in Ehime is the most famous of those. It is designated as an Important Cultural Property by the Japanese government.
