#625: Nanao Castle (category: castle)
Nanao Castle was a castle, which once existed in current Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture. The remains of the castle were designated as a historical site by the Japanese government.
It was often regarded as one of Japanese five major hill castles, along with Kasugayama Castle (refer to #622), Gassantoda Castle (refer to #623), Kannon-ji Castle (refer to #624), and Odani Castle.
