#717: Chikanobu (category: artist)
Chikanobu Kano was a Japanese painter in the 17th and the 18th centuries, who was the grand son of Naonobu Kano (refer to #714) and the first son of Tsunenobu Kano (refer to #716).
He was hired as the exclusively official painter by the Tokugawa shogunate government and the third head of the Kobikicho-Kano school, one of the most prestigious clans branching off from the original Kano school.
