Yosai Kikuchi was a Japanese painter in the 18th and the 19th centuries, who was one of the painters influenced by the Kano school, a prestigious faction of nihon-ga (Japanese-style paintings).
Yosai is well known for his masterpiece called the Zenken Kojitsu, which is a collection of graphic biographies of 585 historical figures in Japan.
