#725: Kyosai (category: artist)
Kyosai Kawanabe was a Japanese painter in the 19th century, who was one of the painters influenced by the Kano school, a prestigious faction of nihon-ga (Japanese-style paintings).
His outstanding drawing skills have been highly praised in Japan and overseas. He left many works and used to call himself "Demon of Painting".
