#735: Kogyo (category: artist)
Kogyo Terasaki was a Japanese painter in the 19th and 20th centuries. He worked as an assistant professor at Tokyo Fine Arts School, the forerunner of the current Tokyo University of the Arts.
Tenshin Okakura (refer to #734) was expelled from the school in 1898, and Kogyo followed him with other famous painters. They started Nihon Bijutsuin (meaning Japan Visual Arts Academy) in the same year.
