Kagoshima

Kagoshima is a prefecture occupying the southernmost area of the Kyushu region (refer to #142). It consists of the southern tip of Kyushu Island (refer to #063) and other smaller islands.

The World Heritage Sites of Yakushima Island, Amami Oshima Island, and Tokunoshima Island belong to this prefecture. Also, Tanegashima Island is home to the Space Center, a launch site for large rockets.
