#153: Respect for the Aged Day (category: holiday)
In Japan, the 3rd Monday of September is a national holiday named "Respect for the Aged Day". Originally, this holiday was on September 15th every year, but the law amendment was passed and the date was changed to the 3rd Monday of the month in 2003.
As its name indicates, the holiday is for respecting elderly people. However, there is nothing special to do. This is a really unique holiday, which wouldn't be found in any other countries.
