#273: Kirifuri Falls (category: waterfall)
Kirifuri Falls is a famous waterfall in Nikko (refer to #067). It is one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls and often selected as one of the three great waterfalls in Nikko, along with Kegon Falls (refer to #272) and Urami Falls.
The word "kiri" in "kirifuri" is "mist" in English and "furi" is "falling", respectively. So, its name means "mist falling" and derives from the misty scenery in which the waterfall splashes water. The waterfall is a part of the Kirifuri River.
