Kegon Falls is a famous waterfall in Nikko (refer to #067). It is listed in Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls and often as one of the three greatest waterfalls in Japan, along with Fukuroda Falls (refer to #271) and Nachi Falls in Wakayama Prefecture.

Also, it is selected as one of the "Eight Views", the eight greatest sceneries among the 100 Landscapes in Japan. The name "keg on" is derived from "Kegon-kyo (Avatamsaka Sutra)", a very important sutra in Buddhism.
