Kamakura

Kamakura is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, located to the south of Yokohama City (refer to #059). Facing Sagami Bay, this area boasts numerous tourist spots, many of which are shrines and temples, represented by Tsurugaoka Hachimangu (refer to #284).

Kamakura is one of the most famous and the most popular tourist sites in Japan in modern times, whereas it once had a central government of this country between the 12th and 14th centuries.
