Shio-no-misaki

Shio-no-misaki is a cape that is located at the southernmost tip of the Honshu island (refer to #062). Also, it is one of the famous tied islands (or tombolos) in Japan as well as Enoshima (refer to #288), Mount Hakodate (refer to #290), and Oga Peninsula (refer to #291).

The Japanese word "shio" is "tide" in English, "no" is "of", "misaki" is "cape", respectively. So, "Shio-no-misaki" literally means "Cape of Tide". It is a tourist site in Kumano region (refer to #278), Wakayama Prefecture.
