#303: Ise Udon (category: noodle)

Ise udon is a type of udon (Japanese noodle), found in and around Ise City, Mie Prefecture. Unlike typical udon, Ise udon is not soaked in soup, which is its main feature. Usually, it is served with a little sauce and simple toppings.

As it is very famous as a local specialty, Ise udon is one of the most popular menus at the restaurants near Ise Jingu (refer to #300 and #301) and many visitors to the shrines love to eat it.
