#418: Tennoji Zoo (category: zoo)
The Tennoji Zoo, located in Osaka Prefecture (refer to #037), is one of the most popular zoos in Japan, along with the Ueno Zoo (refer to #369), the Asahiyama zoo (refer to #416), and the Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens (refer to #417).
Also, it is the third oldest zoo in this country. It opened in 1915 and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2015. Tsuten-kaku (refer to #031), the landmark tower in Osaka, is standing to the west of this zoo.
