Aosagaura Church

Aosagaura Church is one of the many Catholic churches in Nakadohri Island, belonging to Goto Islands (refer to #514). Christians built the first version of the church in 1878.

The current church, made of red bricks, was built in 1910 by the late Yosuke Tetsukawa, a famous architect. In 2001, it was designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
