Matsumoto Castle, located in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, is one of 12 Existing Tenshu in Japan. (The word "Tenshu" means the highest tower in a Japanese castle.)
It is one of the five castles, whose Tenshu is designated as a National Treasure by the Japanese government. The castle is also known as "Crow Castle", because of its appearance.
