#683: Sanjo Ohashi (category: Tokaido)
"Sanjo" can be interpreted as Third Avenue in Kyoto (refer to #035), and "Ohashi" means "big bridge". As its name indicates, Sanjo Ohashi is the big bridge on Third Avenue (or Sanjo-dori in Japanese).
The Tokaido road, one of the Edo Five Routes, connected Nihonbashi (refer to #629) in Edo, current Tokyo (refer to #036), with Sanjo Ohashi in Kyoto.
