Kunisada the First (Toyokuni the Third)

Kunisada Utagawa the First was an apprentice of Toyokuni Utagawa the First (refer to #689) and belonged to the Utagawa school, the most influential group of ukiyo-e artists in the late Edo period.

He succeeded to the name of Toyokuni Utagawa the Third from his master. Also, his apprentice succeeded to the name of Toyokuni Utagawa the Fourth.
