Masanobu

Masanobu Kano was a Japanese painter in the 15th and 16th centuries. He is known as the originator of the Kano school, a prestigious faction of nihon-ga (Japanese-style paintings).

Also, Masanobu worked as an official painter hired by the Ashikaga shogunate government, which ruled over Japan during the period between the 14th and the 16th centuries.
