#704: Genki (category: artist)
Genki Komai was a Japanese painter in the 18th century. He was a leading apprentice of a renowned artist, Okyo Maruyama (refer to #703), like Rosetsu Nagasawa (refer to #702) was.
Although Rosetsu's drawing style contrasted strikingly with that of his master's, Genki faithfully inherited it. Especially, he was good at drawing bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women).
