#702: Rosetsu (category: artist)
Rosetsu Nagasawa was a Japanese painter in the 18th century. He was a leading apprentice of a renowned artist, Okyo Maruyama. But his drawing style contrasted strikingly with that of his master's.
Rosetsu's drawings were free-spirited and eccentric, just like his character as has been told. He is recognized as one of "the artists with fantastic imagination", along with Jakuchu Ito (refer to #700) and Shohaku Soga (refer to #701).
