Shoei Kano was a Japanese painter in the 16th century and one of the heads of the Kano school, a prestigious faction of nihon-ga (Japanese-style paintings).

Shoei was the third son of Motonobu Kano (refer to #706), the former head of the school. Since his two elder brothers died early, he succeeded to his father's position.
