Shiro

Shiro Kasamatsu was a Japanese painter in the 19th and 20th centuries. He learned to draw pictures under Kiyokata Kaburaki (refer to #756), who was good at creating bijin-ga (paintings of beautiful women).

Shiro started making woodblock paintings and left many works. He lived to be 93 through four Japanese eras: Meiji, Taisho, Showa, and Heisei.
