#764: Shimei (category: artist)
Shimei Terashima was a Japanese painter in the 19th and 20th centuries. He was good at drawing bijin-ga (paintings of beautiful women) as his master Kiyokata Kaburaki (refer to #756) was.
Kiyokata had many disciples who were active in the art industry. Shimei was sometimes regarded as the prime protege, along with Shinsui Ito (refer to #762) and Shuho Yamakawa (refer to #763).
