#962: Oita (category: prefecture)
Oita Prefecture is located in the northeast of Kyushu Island (refer to #063). Mount Nakadake is the highest peak on the island.
The prefecture has the largest number of onsen (hot springs) in Japan. Among them, Beppu Onsen and Yufuin Onsen are particularly famous.
