Fukui Prefecture is located in the northwestern corner of the Chubu region (refer to #138). Also, it is sometimes classified as part of the Kinki region (refer to #139).
Fukui Prefecture often ranks first in prefectural happiness rankings and has the second longest average life expectancy in Japan.
