#392: Kinugawa Onsen (category: hot spring)
Kinugawa Onsen is a popular health resort, which has lots of onsens (hot springs) in the area. It is located at the upper part of Kinugawa River (or Kinu River) in Nikko City (refer to #067), Tochigi Prefecture.
The word "kinu" in "kinugawa" means "an oni (demon) is in a rage" and "gawa" is another pronunciation of "kawa" (meaning river). Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura (refer to #391) is located in this Kinugawa Onsen area.
