#619: Komine Castle (category: castle)
Komine Castle (also known as Shirakawa-Komine Castle) was selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Castles in 2006. It is located in Shirakawa City, Fukushima Prefecture.
Its stone wall was devastated by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, and it has been going under the renovation. It is regarded as one of the three greatest castles in the Tohoku region (refer to #136).
