#620: Morioka Castle (category: castle)
Morioka Castle, located in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, was selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Castles in 2006. Iwate Park, which includes the castle, was selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Historical Parks.
Also, it was regarded as one of the three greatest castles in the Tohoku region (refer to #136), along with Komine Castle (refer to #619) and Aizu-Wakamatsu Castle.
