#693: Oi (category: artist)
Oi Katsushika was the third daughter of Hokusai Katsushika (refer to #687). She herself was an accomplished ukiyo-e artist in the late Edo period.
After Oi got a divorce, she lived with her father Hokusai and helped him in creating many of his works. Hokusai once said, "I am no match for Oi in drawing bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women)."
