#732: Kogetsu (category: artist)
Kogetsu Saigo was a Japanese painter in the 19th and the 20th centuries. He entered Tokyo Fine Arts School, the forerunner of current Tokyo University of the Arts, in 1889 as a member of the inaugural class.
Also, Kogetsu was regarded as one of the four greatest apprentices of Gaho Hashimoto (refer to #727), along with Kanzan Shimomura (refer to #729), Taikan Yokoyama (refer to #730), and Shunso Hishida (refer to #731).
