#750: Konen (category: artist)
Konen Uehara was a Japanese painter in the 19th and 20th centuries. He was a disciple of Fuko Matsumoto (refer to #738) and belonged to Japan Visual Arts Academy.
Konen mainly drew paintings with brushes, and occasionally made woodcut prints in the style of shin-hanga (new woodcut prints), the movement that modernized the traditional art of ukiyo-e.
