#999: Kanagawa (category: prefecture)
Kanagawa Prefecture is located in the southwestern corner of the Kanto region (refer to #137). It is the second most populous prefecture in Japan after Tokyo (refer to #036).
Yokohama City (refer to #059) in the prefecture has the largest city population in Japan. It is also widely known for the tourist destination Kamakura (refer to #285).
