#688: Kuniyoshi (category: artist)
Kuniyoshi Utagawa is often regarded as one of the five greatest ukiyo-e artists during the Edo period, along with Hiroshige (refer to #684), Utamaro (refer to #685), Sharaku (refer to #686), and Hokusai (refer to #687).
Kuniyoshi belonged to the Utagawa school, the most influential group of ukiyo-e artists in the late Edo period. Hiroshige Utagawa, also mentioned above simply as Hiroshige, was also a member of the school.
