#695: Sekien (category: artist)
Sekien Toriyama was a very famous and very popular ukiyo-e artist in the middle of Edo period. He had many apprentices, including Utamaro Kitagawa (refer to #685).
Sekien was well-known for his works featuring yokai (imaginary monsters in Japanese folklore), such as Oni (refer to #090), Kappa (refer to #234), and so on.
