#696: Kiyonaga (category: artist)
Kiyonaga Torii was a very famous and very popular ukiyo-e artist in the late Edo period. His bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women) have been known and appreciated worldwide.
Kiyonaga is sometimes regarded as one of the six greatest ukiyo-e artists, along with Hiroshige (refer to #684), Utamaro (refer to #685), Sharaku (refer to #686), Hokusai (refer to #687), and Harunobu (refer to #694).
